she came to me from a billion miles away
i tucked my shirt in, walked up to greet her
smiled awkwardly cuz i didn't know what to say
but she did: "take me to your leader"

i laughed a bit out of nervousness and pride
"i'm my own man; i don't have no master"
"please help me, sir; it's been a real long ride"
"well maybe you should have traveled faster"

look for me where the ships come in
an upright man with an evil twin
who's holding a sign that says "give in"

i touched her cheek but she pushed my hand away
"i know not love; i am here to gather data"
"can't I love you, be that as it may?"
"you don't understand: zorxon is in grave danger"

she lifted off and i dropped my head in shame

and what's worse, it was all my fault
